Open House and Silent Auction for Cystic Fibrosis

Hey All!

We are very excited about our Open House and Auction for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation this Friday June 13th from 6:30-9:30!  Come by and see our new studio in downtown Cary and enjoy some wonderful food and libations.  There will be some exciting items up for bid in a live auction for the local chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Click on the invitation below to see a list of some of the auction items.

Also,  we are offering a special session rate of $75 for a one hour session in the studio with Cari and 10% off of your print order.  100% of the session fees from any session booked at the Open House (or anytime on Friday) will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  This is a great opportunity to get on the fall schedule!

We hope to see you all there Friday night 6:30-9:30 at the new studio!  We are located in Ashworth Village on the corner of Academy and Chatham right next to Vespa!

We Moved!

Well, most of you already know that we moved, but here is the official announcement!  I am so excited about the new studio.  I LOVE it!  I was a little sad to leave the downtown Apex studio, but the new one is so much more convenient for me and it is in a better location.  We have done a lot of remodeling and are finally done with that part.  I still have a lot of decorating and odds and ends to take care of, so no pictures of the inside until I have it looking exactly like I want it!

We are now at 200 South Academy Street in Downtown Cary in Ashworth Village.  Here are some picutres of the outside...

I loved this Newborn!

This little peanut was one of the easiest newborns I have photographed!  He was so sleepy and pliable and sweet.  For some reason, the newborns I have photographed over the last couple of months have been wide awake.  Most have not slept at all!  I really love getting these sleepy, snuggly shots...

One of Favorite Clients!

I think I have photographed these girls more than anyone else (except for my own kids)!  They are the cutest.  This session was to commemorate Abby's 5th birthday, so most of the pictures are of her.  This is a bit of a change for us because Miss Abbey hasn't always loved to have her picture taken.  At this session she was all into it! 

Now, to say that their mommy LOVES pink is an understatement.  They always come with the most fun pink outfits.   I can't wait to do little sisters pictures in June!

Sweet Little 2 Year Old

This little doll was a joy to photograph!  She was so easy going and we just flew through her session.  This was a completely opposed to her newborn session, which we had to do twice because she was not a happy camper on the first try!  I got some fun new tutus and hats that I had her model for me, too.  Take a peek...

I love this little curly top!

I have photographed this sweet little girl since she was in her mommy's tummy.  She is just so adorable!  I have really enjoyed getting to work with her mom and dad and her very handsome older brother. 

Now, I have told her mom that I have already found a husband for this little one!  One of my best friends from college has a little boy who looks so much like her.  This little boy has the same great curly hair, although his is an awesome copper color.  They would make the cuteset couple!

These guys were fun!

I had so much fun photographing this family.  I know them pretty well since they live up the street.  They are a lively group - totally remind me of my three!  The little guy had actually broken his foot the day before and they put off getting his hard cast because we had our photo session scheduled!  He was such a trooper and didn't complain at all. 

I am in LOVE with this first picture.  Don't they look like angels?  They even look like they like each other, don't they?  I sure can't get my three this close to each other with out some sort of injury or hysterical silliness!

The look on the yougest boy's face in this image is SOO him.  He has such an impish little grin...

A Beautiful Before and After

Pregnancy is such a magical time.  Even though I have had three children of my own, I am still amazed at the whole process.  I really love doing maternity portraits because it is a chance for me to document the beginning of a new life. 

I had a great time with this client.  She was a lot of fun and so at ease in front of the camera.  That makes my job easy! 

Well, that little girl in there wanted to meet her mommy and daddy so bad that she made an early entrance into this world.  She is quite opinionated, too.  She wasn't really into having her picture taken at her newborn session and she let us know about it!  But we persisted and came out with some beautiful images and some wonderful facial expressions!  Mom and dad were so easy going. They are going to be great parents.

Could she be any cuter?

This little one was so delightful and happy!  She has the best smile.  We already have an appointment set up for October and I can't wait to see how much she changes and grows!

I love his big 'ole smile!

This little guy  was soooo happy and smiley!  He is 7 months old and that is just about my favorite age to photograph!  How can anyone resist those big brown eyes and gummy smile?  Plus, he looks just like his big brother!  Cuteness runs in the family.
